These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of StubRate (the “Site”), including our calculators, comparison tools, and guides. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use StubRate.

What StubRate is

StubRate provides educational estimates of take-home pay, taxes, and job-related costs. It is a free informational tool supported by advertising and related monetization. It is not a tax preparer, payroll provider, financial advisor, attorney, or CPA.

No professional advice

All outputs are approximate and for general education only. Tax rules, filing situations, local taxes, benefits, and deductions vary. Do not rely on StubRate alone for tax filings, offer acceptance, relocation, budgeting commitments, or other financial decisions. Consult a qualified professional and verify numbers with your employer’s payroll or a tax advisor.

Your responsibilities

• Use the Site only for lawful purposes
• Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape abusively, or reverse-engineer the service in ways that harm us or other users
• Do not misuse advertising inventory or automate clicks on ads
• Provide accurate inputs if you choose to use the tools; garbage in means garbage out

Intellectual property

The StubRate name, branding, site design, text, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the public Site for personal, non-commercial research. You may not copy substantial content, clone the product for a competing service, or remove notices without permission.

Advertisements and third-party links

The Site may display ads and links to third-party websites or services. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, policies, or offers. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and them.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that estimates will match your actual paycheck or that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StubRate and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or opportunities, arising from your use of the Site or reliance on any estimate. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StubRate and its operators from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.

Changes to the Site or Terms

We may change features, estimates methodology, or these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date will reflect revisions.

Termination

We may suspend or stop offering the Site, or block access for abuse, without notice when reasonable.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the Site operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue for disputes, except where prohibited.
